Everglades is a city which is located in Collier County, Florida, United States.

Everglades City is well-known for Everglades National Park which is the third largest in the continental United States and covers 2,400 square miles.

There are a lot of places where you can start your adventure here, in South Florida, from Everglades City to Homestead or up to Key Largo.

How to get in Everglades City?

From Miami:
Visitors coming from the Miami or North zone should take the Florida Turnpike toll road (southbound) until it joins US 1 in Florida City. Turn right at the first traffic light on Palm Drive (9336 State Road / 344th Southwest Street [SW]) and follow the signs to the city.

From Sarasota:
To reach Everglades city from Sarasota, drive across 41 past E C more 35 miles or so to Shark Valley and you reached to Everglades City.

From Orlando:
You have many options to reach to Everglades City from Orlando. Take I4 across to St. Pete/Tampa and then get on I75 to just past Naples, and then take Hwy 29 to EC which is approx 300 miles.

Another option is to go Florida Turnpike or I95 (Probably the fastest route but you need to pay $15 approx for tolls) and then go straight East on I75 or continue to Miami and then take Route no. 41. This route is more rural and it will take you past many different airboat operators and Shark Valley too.

From Naples:
It would be around 4 to 5-hour drive from Naples to Everglades City to cover 36.2 miles. The best place to reach is Shark Valley which is a part of the Everglades city. Another best route is the Tamiami Trail (US 41) which will take you in Everglades City easily.

From Fort Lauderdale:
To reach to Everglades City from Fort Lauderdale, you need to follow I-75 N Route. Take 595 and then 75 and West to 27. This rote is toll route but this toll booth is only after 27 intersections.

From Sarasota to Everglades City: 156 Miles.
From Orlando to Everglades City: 206.5 Miles.
From Naples to Everglades City: 36.2 Miles.
